Reaching Care was founded by two strangers turned healthcare navigators during the COVID-19 health crisis.
Rebekah D. is an experienced research coordinator who was redeployed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020 in New York City. When vaccines became available in January of 2021, she sought ways to connect community members to both vaccine appointments and mental health resources to help others cope with the physical and psychological toll of the COVID-19 pandemic. In creating Reaching Care with David she decided to fill the gap of connecting resources to those who need them the most.
David A. comes from an experienced background in Psychology. As the co-founder of Reaching Care, he helps coordinate with volunteers and runs social platforms to spread the word about what Reaching Care can provide. After coming together with Rebekah, he built a solid platform to promote accessible healthcare resources across the US.

Our founders are both fully trained in HIPAA and data security for healthcare information. All data is stored on a secure encrypted database that is in compliance with the Service Organization Controls audit (SOC 2 type 2).
Data will be used and stored for public health reporting only, but no data will be shared with an outside institution.
Our volunteer navigators are vetted and verified by the leadership team and are asked to respect these protections and not store any data on their devices. All data is to be stored only on the encrypted database, which only the founders can access.
The fastest way to get in touch with us is via Live Chat in the bottom right corner of our website or you can contact us through this form.
